Parkhouse Court Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) Consultation

We are consulted on a proposal to introduce a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) at Parkhouse Court in Hatfield.

This consultation is now closed.

PSPOs address issues that negatively impact a community's quality of life and it can stop individuals or groups from engaging in anti-social behaviours in a public place.

The aim of this consultation was to understand in more detail any concerns you may have and hear your views on whether or not a PSPO is the right solution to tackle local issues.

Why we consulted on introducing a PSPO at Parkhouse Court

The area around Parkhouse Court is experiencing anti-social behaviour (ASB) associated with:

• ASB in public places caused by consumption of alcohol
• begging
• drug taking and paraphernalia
• urination and defecation in public

These anti-social behaviours have been persistent and continuing for some time.

Next steps

We will now review the results.

We will aim to take a recommendation on whether to introduce the PSPO, based on the feedback collected, to Cabinet on the 11 August 2026.
