Your Business Rates bill
Your Business Rates bill is based on the rateable value of your property. This is then multipled by the 'rate multiplier'.
This come from a valuation made by the Valuation Office Agency. It is revalued every five years.
For more information visit the Valuation Office Agency.
We work out your bill by multiplying the rateable value of your property by the rate multiplier.
We use either
- the standard non-domestic rating multiplier
- the small business non-domestic rating multiplier
to work out your bill.
The standard non-domestic rate is higher. It helps to cover the small business rate relief. Your bill will show you which multiplier has been used.
The multipliers are set by the Government each year. The table below shows the most recent multipliers.
