Consultation on the Estates Service Standard Policy and Communal Cleaning
This consultation is for council tenants and leaseholders living in council-owned social housing blocks with internal communal areas.
The Estate Service Standard Policy introduces a set of standards to improve the quality and consistency of our estate management.
As part of these standards, we are considering introducing a cleaning service to internal communal areas, for all council-owned social housing blocks with shared spaces.
Communal areas include:
- stairways
- corridors
- external walkways
- windows/doors in the communal space
We are consulting on this until Thursday 2 April 2026 and would like tenants and leaseholders to share their views.
