Who can access temporary accommodation
In this section
Generally if you are:
- eligible for assistance
- and homeless
- and we have reason to believe you are in a priority need group (as set out in the Housing Act 1996)
we have a duty to offer you temporary accommodation.
Once you have been given temporary accommodation will then decide if we do have a duty to house you:
- if we decide we do then we will find you settled accommodation
- if we decide do not then you will have to leave the temporary accommodation and we will help you to find other accommodation.
