Councillor Rose Grewal
Councillor Rose Grewal was appointed Leader of the Council at a meeting of full Council on 6 February 2026.
The Leader of the Council takes overall responsibility for:
- strategic direction of the Council
- guidance given to officers
- leading the work of the Council.
They work closely with officers to put in place policies and strategies agreed with the council.
They make sure this is done in the policy framework set by the Cabinet and the Council.
