New charging points set to arrive in 2021 for electric vehicles
New charging points are set to be introduced during 2021 and 2022 - EV points are in conjunction with our provider Electric Blue
NEW POINTS
8 brand new electric points running from Electric Blue are now available to use in The Common Multi-Storey car park. Charging will be limited to 4 hours - a pay and display ticket must also be displayed - 3 hours free or 4 hours for £3.50.
On Street Electric Vehicle Charging Points
There are two public on-street electric charging points in the borough. Parking in these bays is restricted to electric vehicles only. Cars are allowed to park up to four hours and cannot return within four hours. These restrictions apply 24 hours a day.

The parking restriction on site are enforced by the Council's Civil Enforcement Officers.

Site one Howardsgate in Welwyn Garden City (Located outside Cote Brasserie)

Site two The Common in Hatfield (Located opposite Conservative Club) - Currently out of service - please use The Common car park charging points
2 x Connector Type 2 - 7.2 kWh

Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme
Residents who wish to install an electric charging point at their home address can apply for a grant under the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS). Further information can be found on the GOV.UK website
