Council garages are let on a weekly basis.
The cost of renting a council garage depends on the location.

We usually charge VAT on all garage lettings.
Council tenants
In some circumstances, council tenants and holders of a long lease from us may not have to pay VAT.

We know how important garages are to some tenants and we realise this is a larger increase than you may be used to.
This is a decision we have not taken lightly but, along with a review of other fees and charges, it does help us to successfully protect our essential services for the year ahead whilst ensuring a sustainable financial position.
