Survey
A letter has been sent on 27 July 2026 to all addresses within the consultation area.
The parking consultation survey opened Monday 27 July 2026 and closes Sunday 27 September 2026. Take part in the online survey
We would appreciate as many households as possible completing the survey, so we get a clearer understanding on if there is (or isn't) any parking concerns in the area.
The survey asks for your views on parking in the road, any concerns you experience and solutions you are/are not in favour of. At this stage, no decisions have been made on parking restrictions, the decisions will be based on the feedback gathered from residents. We would like to stress the importance of giving your views on the parking situation in the road as we will be moving on to the next area in our works programme after completing our consultation and may not be returning to re-consult for several years.
Please note that creation of parking bays on highway land, road safety, speed limits, drainage and road surface conditions are the responsibility of Hertfordshire County Council and not Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.
Vehicle hardstands and crossovers
The parking consultation applies to the public highway and the budget cannot be used to provide crossovers or driveways.
Find out how you can apply for a dropped kerb via Hertfordshire County Council online.
Next steps
A brief outline of what to expect next:
We will review the consultation survey data, which may include internal meetings with ward councillors. Further details will be published on this page during Autumn/Winter 2026. We would send a letter to all residents setting out any ideas for parking restrictions also to seek further feedback.
