Panshanger

The parking consultation began in May 2025 following feedback from residents. Panshanger was added to our 2024-26 Parking Services Work Programme to assess parking concerns in the area.

Survey period

A survey letter was sent in May 2025 and the survey closed on 4 July 2025. 

Feedback period

An ideas letter was sent in November 2025, and the feedback period closed on 19 December 2025. 

Proposals

Double Yellow Lines

Double yellow lines apply 24/7 as seen primarily on junctions or places where parking is not desired or safe. Objections or support to the proposals must be made in writing and received no later than Thursday 12 November 2026. This can be sent either by email to parkingservices@welhat.gov.uk or via post to Parking Services, The Campus, Welwyn Garden City AL8 6AE

If you have previously corresponded during the survey or feedback stage, please note, they would not be classed as support or objections, and was a form of comment to develop the proposals.

Next steps

Any objections or written support received in relation to the proposals will be considered at a future Cabinet Planning and Parking Panel meeting. The objections/support received would be presented in a report alongside officer's comments and recommendations.

Further updates on meeting dates will be published on this webpage later in 2026/27. Once a decision has been reached, an update will also be published in due course on this webpage along with a letter posted to residents.
