Parking Fine Text Scam
We would like to warn residents about scam text messages telling the recipient they have an unpaid parking fine. The text contains a link to check and pay the parking fine.
These messages are fraudulent and do not come from the council.
We never notify motorists of parking penalty fines by text message.
Motorists are notified of a parking penalty fine by either:
- attaching it to their windscreen
- or by post in a letter with the recipient’s name and their vehicle registration
