Housing repairs cold calling

We are aware of companies cold calling our customers, claiming to be working on behalf of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council to support you with housing repairs.  

Please be advised that these companies are not working for or on behalf of the council.  

You are fully entitled to seek the assistance of a solicitor if you have issues which we have been unable to resolve. We always recommend that you look at the Law Society website.

If you need to report a repair, you can contact our Repairs Contact Centre. 

Our council staff and contractors will always carry ID, and you can ask to see it before letting anyone into your home. If you are unsure, please call our Repairs Contract Centre. 

Reporting a repair
