Change of two Polling Stations for forthcoming Elections

There will be changes to two polling stations in the borough following the unavailability of two venues.

Woodhall Community Centre Mill Green Road WGC AL7 3XD (Polling District BBB)

The Council have ascertained that the Community Centre is up for sale with a new buyer yet to be found and is closed and not in use. Until a new buyer is found who would agree for the Centre to be used as a polling station, it is uncertain whether it can be used in future for this purpose. Accordingly, an alternative suitable polling station has been sourced, namely: Trinity Hall 141 Woodhall Lane Welwyn Garden City AL7 3TP and as so far as is reasonable and practicable, accessible to all electors including those who are disabled.

Digswell Village Church Warren Way Digswell Welwyn AL6 0DH (Polling District ABB)

There will be major refurbishment work being carried out on the Church from early 2026 and as such it is doubtful whether it will be available to be used for a polling station in May 2026. Accordingly, an alternative suitable Polling Station has been sourced, namely: Digswell Tennis Club Digswell Park Road Welwyn AL6 0DA and as so far as is reasonable and practicable, accessible to all electors including those who are disabled.

As from now Trinity Hall and Digswell Tennis Club will be used as polling stations in place of Woodhall Community Centre and Digswell Village Church respectively.  For forthcoming elections including by elections and the May 2026 elections, all poll cards will reflect these changes.
