Major works
Major works are any:
- repair
- redecoration
- replacement
- improvement
- or refurbishment
to the building or estate which will result in a cost of over £250 being passed on to any individual unit (flat).
These works:
- will be to the structure and communal areas of the block that we are responsible for maintaining
- will not include any works that are the responsibility of the individual resident (such as bathrooms and kitchens)
- are generally required to prolong the life of the building and/or to ensure that it is kept in a good state of repair
They are reqired to fulfill our obligations under the terms of the lease.
We must consult you when the cost of ‘qualifying works’ will be more than £250 for each leaseholder. More information can be found in your leaseholder handbook.
