Council housing priority bands

Band D: Identified housing need

You are classed as band D priority if:

  • you or a member of the household has been assessed as having a Recognised Medical Priority (and you do not have the means to address this yourself)
  • you or a member of the household has been assessed as having unsatisfactory housing conditions, such as overcrowding by one bedroom or lacking amenities (and you do not have the means to address this yourself)
  • you are a homeless person or household that does not qualify for Band B (who we do not have a statutory duty to provide housing for)
  • you do not have a dependent child (or children) but your tenancy is not secure.
