Leaving temporary accommodation
If we accept your homeless application we will offer you permanent accommodation and your temporary accommodation will end.
If we do not accept you homless application, or you breach your license agreement, we will serve you with notice to leave your temporary accommodation. You can find more details about this in our Evictions Policy.
If we offer you permenant accommodation:
- you may be asked to view the property and move in very quickly (in a few days)
- if it is in one of our council homes it will not be furnished and will probably not have floor coverings
- you are not allowed to stay in temporary accommodation while you decorate or lay floor coverings in your new property
- you will have to move out of your temporary accommodation as soon as you have the keys and tenancy agreement for your new property.
