Homes without wheelie bins

Information about rubbish and recycling collections for homes, like flats,  that cannot accommodate wheelie bins.

Rubbish and recycling collections for flats

Flats usually use sacks for their rubbish which are collected every week, and recycling boxes which are collected every two weeks.

Some flats have shared bin stores with large containers for their waste, these will usually be collected every week.

We also provide mini-recycling centres (to recycle glass, cans and paper) where possible.

Rubbish and recycling collections for houses without wheelie bins

Rubbish collections

If your house cannot accommodate a wheelie bin you will be provided with rubbish sacks, which are collected every week.

You can leave up to two sacks for collection, if you leave out more than two sacks, they will not be collected.

Your supply of rubbish sacks will be delivered to your house regularly.

The sacks have the council logo on them so our crews can easily identify them for collection.

Boxes are provided for recycling, you can see details of what to include in each box below.
