Food waste recycling for flats and maisonettes

From 30 March 2026 we are expanding weekly food waste collections to some flats and houses who haven't previously received this service. 

This new service supports new national recycling requirements, and will help to:

• improve our recycling rate
• reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill and other disposal sites
• recycle your food waste into useful products such as biogas and fertiliser.

If your home is included in the new service you will receive a communications pack and new food kitchen caddy before the services begins from the 30 March 2026.
