Reporting fly-tipping
If you see fly-tipping on the estate, please report it online as soon as possible.
When reporting, it helps if you can include:
- The exact location
- A description of what has been dumped
- Photos, if you have them
- Your contact details, so we can clarify the location and ask further questions if needed
We encourage you to use what3words to help pinpoint the location. The more detail you give, the quicker it can be dealt with.
Once we receive your report, we will identify who owns the land where the fly-tipping has occurred. We already have permission from the three original developers to investigate fly-tipping on land under their control. Where land is owned by others, we will seek the landowner’s permission to investigate the incident. Once permission is in place, we will investigate the fly-tip and take enforcement action where appropriate.
Where fly-tipping is found on land owned by the original developers, we will notify them after the investigation. We have agreed that they will arrange for the waste to be removed within five working days.
For land owned by others, we will ask the landowner to remove the waste following our investigation. If the waste is not removed within a reasonable timescale, we may take further enforcement action to ensure it is cleared.
