Armed Forces Support
Support for the Armed Forces community
We are committed to supporting forces personnel and their families and to helping them to continue to contribute strongly to society.
How we support Veterans
We have signed up to a Community Covenant action plan in consultation with the Royal British Legion to support the service community. To find out more visit the Armed Forces Community Covenant page.
We give special dispensation for anyone serving in the armed forces (currently or within the last five years), to be eligible to join the Housing Needs Register without having to demonstrate a local connection to the borough.
Should you have any questions or wish to receive more information regarding Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council's contribution to Armed Services support, please contact our nominated officer or the Member Representative.
Local Breakfast Clubs
The Hatfield & Welwyn G.C. Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club meet on the first Sunday of every month at 10am at Harpsfield Hall Wetherspoons in Hatfield.
For more information, contact Elaine Forman at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07388 123201.
There is also a Herts, Beds and Cambs Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club.
