Publication of the verification number to determine the validity of petitions.

The Local Authorities (Referendums)(Petitions)(England) Regulations 2011

I, Ka Ng, as the Proper Officer for Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, hereby publish the number that is equal to 5 per cent of the number of local government electors shown in the electoral register having effect for the authority's area for the period commencing 15 February 2024 (the verification number for 2024) in accordance with the above regulations.

The number so published is 4090.

The verification number for 2024 will have effect for the purposes of determining the validity of petitions presented in the period of 12 months beginning with 1 April 2024.
