Risk Management Implications

6.1 There is a risk of the Council not meeting our statutory obligations, and a risk of not upholding residents’ rights and expectations. This could present a financial and reputational risk to the Council.

6.2 To mitigate this risk, the Corporate Enforcement Group has developed a CCTV Policy that outlines a standardised approach, the expectations of residents, and contact details for the involved staff.

6.3 Security and Terrorism Implications:

6.4 If the Council does have a strong awareness of our CCTV capabilities, our ability to detect and/or prevent crime could be impeded.
