Benches

There are many benches around the borough. Some are owned by us and others are owned by parish councils or are privately owned.

Report a problem with a bench owned by the council

If you notice a problem with a public bench contact us. 

Memorial bench plaques

We have 2 options available:

  • A new bench in a new location, to be agreed, with a plaque with your chosen dedication: £1,589.00 incl VAT
  • An existing bench (without a memorial already on it) which would be refurbished and a plaque with your chosen dedication placed on it: £568.00 incl VAT

Benches are purchased on a lease basis for a 10 year period.
