Community Awards Criteria

This category honors an individual, groups or organisation with long standing service of many years, whose dedication and commitment has made a significant and lasting difference to the Welwyn Hatfield community.

Criteria

Nominees will have demonstrated outstanding service that goes beyond normal expectations, delivering a positive and lasting impact on residents of Welwyn Hatfield. This may include efforts to bring together diverse communities, promote inclusion, and strengthen community cohesion. Consideration will be given to those who actively work to reduce barriers to participation, support equal access to opportunities, and ensure that people from all backgrounds feel welcomed, valued, and able to engage. Examples include developing inclusive projects or events, supporting disadvantaged or underrepresented groups, building connections between different communities, or encouraging involvement from individuals who may otherwise be excluded.
