Community Awards Criteria

Climate Champion and Environment Award

This award is for the individual, group or business who has made the most significant efforts to make Welwyn Hatfield a greener place to live and has enhanced or improved their local environment and supported biodiversity.

This should involve practical action and real outcomes.

Examples might be:

setting up a new green community initiative
planting or caring for a vital habitat
encouraging and supporting the uptake of active travel
changing behaviours in support of the climate change agenda.
