Transformation Strategy 2026-2028

2.1    The council’s overall vision is to put the community at the heart of everything we do, with a key priority to run an effective council. The council’s Transformation Strategy is key to the delivery of this priority and sets out our key areas of focus of transformation over the next two years.
2.2    As we move forward, our approach to transformation will be guided by the agreed principles in this strategy, delivering services and the need to prepare for Local Government Reorganisation.
2.3    Any transformation undertaken within the next two years will be delivered under one of the key themes, whilst recognising that service changes and improvements will need to deliver positive, short-term service improvement or financial benefit for the council, or align to preparing for change and transition to a new authority.
