Licensing policy

Appeals against decisions

41.1 The Council recognises that subject to the requirements of the Act, a person may appeal against a decision of the Council to the Magistrates Court. Entitlements to appeal for parties aggrieved by decisions of the Licensing Act are set out in schedule 5 to the Act.

41.2 All parties who were party to the original hearing but not involved directly in the appeal will be provided with clear reasons for any subsequent decisions where appeals are settled out of court.
