Governance
17.1 The Strategic Housing Board oversees policy implementation and receives regular reports on audit activity and key performance indicators. Resident Panels are engaged to ensure transparency, and the Cabinet Housing Panel acts as the formal decision-making body.
17.2 The Neighbourhood Team Leaders have operational delivery of tenancy audits for general needs tenancies and the Independent Living Team for sheltered housing schemes.
17.3 All audit outcomes and follow-up actions are recorded and tracked through the housing management system to ensure timely resolution and coordinated support.
17.4 This policy is fully aligned with national legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023, the Tenancy Standard (2024), and Awaab’s Law. Any changes to legislation, regulatory guidance, or internal procedures will trigger a review to ensure the policy remains complaint and up to date.
