Situations Where Notice May Not Be Given
8.1 We normally give advance notice before we visit your home.
8.2 Sometimes we may need to visit without notice, but this only happens where necessary, for example:
• Concerns about your safety or someone else’s safety – for example, if we believe someone may be at immediate risk.
• Serious health and safety issues – if the condition of the home could cause harm.
• Signs the home may not be lived in as agreed – such as possible subletting or abandonment.
• When the law requires us to act quickly.
8.3 Unannounced visits are used only when absolutely necessary. We will always explain clearly why the visit was needed.
