Information Reviewed During a Tenancy Audit Visit

5.1    During the audit, housing officers review and update records to ensure accuracy and identify any support needs or issues. Key areas include:

5.1.1    Identity Verification: Confirm tenant identity using valid photographic ID.

5.1.2    Household Composition: Details of all residents, including declared disabilities, vulnerability indicators, or safeguarding concerns. 

5.1.3    Contact Information: Current address, telephone/email details, and preferred communication methods. 

5.1.4    Financial Circumstances: Household income, employment status, benefit entitlements (e.g., Universal Credit), and any financial hardship concerns. 

5.1.5    Property Condition: General state of repair and cleanliness, including identification of health and safety hazards. 

5.1.6    Fire Safety: Presence and functionality of smoke alarms and other fire safety measures. 

5.1.7    Resident Involvement: Opportunities for tenants to engage with council services, provide feedback, and participate in community initiatives. 

5.1.8    Equality and Diversity Data: Information such as age, gender, ethnicity, disabilities, sexual orientation, and belief to support service planning and compliance with Public Sector Equality Duties.
